We now know that February was National Children's dental health month; but children's dental care shouldn't be reserved to only February. Children absorb most of their fundamental knowledge between ages 2 and 5. This being said, it is important that parents instill the importance of dental hygiene while children are still growing.
Did you know that 1 in 5 children between the ages of 5 and 11 have at least one untreated decayed tooth- which can lead to cavities? Proper brushing and flossing help to prevent against early childhood tooth decay and gum disease. In addition to brushing and flossing, children should be receiving regular cleanings from the dentist every six months. Proper dental care is important for people of all ages, especially children. Keep their teeth happy and healthy with regular brushing, flossing, and cleanings.
